Speech by Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy: Monetary and Fiscal Dimensions of Responding to Multiple Global Shocks
Rannveig Sigurdardóttir, Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy in the Central Bank of Iceland, gave a keynote speech at the 15th Annual Meeting of the OECD Working Party of Parliamentary Budget Officials and Independent Fiscal Institutions held in Iceland on 13-14 April.
In her speech she looks at how the Icelandic economy has weathered the resent global shocks relative to other OECD economies, discusses the role played by monetary and fiscal policies in response to these shocks and the challenges associated with finding the right policy responses in times of high inflation.
